The Tier One Community

The Tier One community is composed of technical support staff employed by academic or administrative units. A Tier One (Tier1 or T1) provides various types of technical expertise as required by their organization. Their range of duties may include desktop computer support, local network support, server administration or application support.

While Tier Ones are not employed by HSC-IT, we work together to deliver and support the technical service needs of the Health Sciences Center. IT has implemented centralized desktop management tools such as McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Dell Security Suite (DDP) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) that Tier Ones use to manage and support their desktop systems.
