OUHSC Cyber Security Awareness Day October 24th!!

OUHSC Cyber Security Awareness Day turned out to be a great success
for the campus!! Over 300 people registered and attended the sessions and met with our vendors which provided valuable information to our campus. Thank you to everyone who attended!! IT-ISS looks forward to
future opportunities to continue to educate our campus
and hope to see everyone again next year.


Speaker Sessions
Speaker presentations will be given in the Robert M. Bird Library auditorium and feature a variety of technical and non-technical topics. Tulsa participants will be able to view the presentations in the Schusterman Center room 4201.


Home Security Tips & Tricks
Time 10:00-10:45
Nathan J. Gibson, CISSP-CISM-CCNA-MCSA:
This session will show faculty, students, and staff how to use freely available tools to ensure their  home computers are secure and running as efficiently as possible. It will also show parents how to regulate and monitor the activities children do on the Internet. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

IT Business Compliance
Time 11:00-11:45
Cory Manahan, Principle Systems Engineer, Symantec:
Cory will focus on helping our business community understand how to integrate IT compliance into their daily business functions. Business managers are especially encouraged to attend.


Cyber Crime and Current Threats
Time 12:00-1:00
Matt Rowold, FBI:
Matt will be our keynote speaker and will give a non-technical presentation on his experience investigating cyber crime and current threats to the public. Lunch will be provided for those who register and attend the session. A door prize will be given away at the end of the session. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

ePO Technical Hands on Training
Time 1:15-2:00
Neville Aga, McAfee:
Neville Aga will give a technical presentation on use and management of McAfee ePO, the enterprise anti-virus management system.  This presentation is targeted at our tier 1 community and will be a "Hands on" and "How do I" session that will greatly benefit anyone using ePO. Our tier 1 community is especially encouraged to attend.


Internet Threats and Trends
Time 2:15-3:00
Cory Manahan, Principle Systems Engineer, Symantec:
Cory will present a session on current internet threats facing the public and give an analysis of what trends can be expected in the future. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
