Portable Computing Device (PCD) Security

Portable Computing Device (PCD) includes but is not limited to:

  • Notebook computers
  • Tablet PCs
  • Handheld devices suchs as Portable Digital Assistant (PDA)
  • iPad or iPod
  • Smart phones such as iPhone, Android, RIM (Blackberry), MS Windows phone
  • Converged devices

To determine if your mobile device needs to be encrypted, please use the PCD Encryption Decision Flow Chart

iPhones, iPads, Androids, RIM (Blackberry) and Windows phones are encrypted by Secure Mobile for Exchange. See the "Secure Mobile" for Exchange" FAQ
