Scope, Mission and Objectives

Scope:

The scope of the plan is to provide the information necessary to recover the services provided by Information Technology at the OUHSC Oklahoma City campus.

Mission:

The mission of the plan is to establish defined roles and responsibilities, actions and procedures to recover the technology services provided to the OUHSC campus.

To facilitate in the recovery of the IT services, OUHSC-IT employs the NIMS (National Incident Management System) ICS (Incident Command System) framework to manage the restoration of services resulting from an unplanned and unexpected incident or disaster.

Objectives:

In the event of an interruption of services, the plan is structured to help attain the following objectives:

• Assess the damage as quickly as possible to minimize the impact to OUHSC
• Recover the physical network, including voice services
• Recover all other services
