FDIC warns of fraudulent email - Information Security The Information Security team at the Health Sciences Center was made aware of a bogus 'phishing' email claiming to be from the FDIC. The message might ask you to visit a bogus website to download and fill out forms or may present the forms to you on the website itself. Be advised that no organization will ever solicit personal or sensitive information over email. Because 'phishing' emails are designed to appear authentic to the last detail, you should call that organization to verify the emails authenticity before ever opening the email or visiting a website contained therein. The full bulletin published by the FDIC can be found at the following link.
